Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Macomb

MSHDA Emergency Solutions Grant opportunity

The Macomb County Department of Health and Community Services is requesting applications for funding under the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). MSHDA is a direct recipient of ESG funding that is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Each year, MSHDA allocates this funding to each Continuum of Care (CoC) or Local Planning Bodies (LPB) in Michigan. As ESG fiduciary for the Macomb County Continuum of Care (CoC), Health and Community Services seeks to use ESG funds to address the urgent needs of residents who are experiencing homelessness or are at imminent risk of homelessness. Emergency Solutions Grant funds focus on street outreach, operations and services within emergency shelters, homelessness prevention and rapid rehousing activities.

The local funding competition closes Monday, July 8, 2024 at 4 p.m. Local units of government and non-profit organizations that serve Macomb County residents year-round are eligible to apply. The ESG grant term will begin on October 1, 2024 and end September 30, 2025.

For more information, please contact the Macomb County Department of Health and Community Services at dohcs@macombgov.org or at 586-469-7190.
