MCPED plays host to Industry 4.0 workshop

Speakers included Chuck Werner, manager of operational excellence for the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC); Heidi Devroy, CEO of Prosper-Tech Machine and Tool; and Rod Chaffee, director, Americas, West at Markforged.

Attendees also learned about efforts to fuel the talent pipeline with efforts to engage the workforce of the future through the Macomb Intermediate School District and The Academies at Romeo High School. Speakers included MISD CTE Consultant Shannon Williams and Rich Boggio, academy coach at The Academics at Romeo High School.

During a break in the program, businesses got to mingle with both high school and college students and make connections for future job opportunities.
