Planned work includes $70 million in reconstruction, rehabilitation and improvements
MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – To ensure safe and reliable travel for residents, motorists and businesses that use the more than 1,700 miles of roads under the jurisdiction of Macomb County, the Macomb County Department of Roads (MCDR) remains open, on the job and continues to serve the community.
“The Department of Roads has a busy schedule planned with more than $70 million in substantial road improvements and we are taking all necessary precautions to keep the public and our staff safe due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation,” said MCDR Director Bryan Santo. “We are following the recommendations of county, state and federal health officials regarding COVID-19 to ensure public and employee safety while we continue to strengthen and enhance Macomb County’s infrastructure and transportation network.”
