Drink, eat and enjoy Bass Elite at this family fun festival

This July 28-30, the Bass, Brews & BBQ (B4Q) Festival is coming to Brandenburg Park in Chesterfield Township! The event is being held in conjunction with the AFTCO Bassmaster Elite tournament on Lake St. Clair. From Friday to Sunday, the schedule is packed with activities for everyone to enjoy!

Live music will play throughout the park with a different line up of musicians each day. Bands such as Doin’ TimeThe Gobies and more are set to perform.

To fulfill your BBQ needs, there will be a designated area for food trucks. The beverage tent will be open every day of the festival and an area for vendors will be set aside, as well. For the children, a Kid Zone will be open Noon-8pm Friday and Sunday, and Noon-5pm on Sunday.

Saturday at 12pm is when the cornhole tournaments begin. Pre-registration is required, with no onsite registration. To sign up, visit the Chesterfield Township course activities page and look for ‘Special Events’. Registration for both the competitive and social cornhole tournaments will be under ‘Other’, and closes July 27.

Fireworks are scheduled for Friday night at 10pm, but will be moved to Saturday if it rains.

For a full list of events, food trucks and more, visit the Bass, Brews and BBQ Facebook. Admission is free.

B4Q is seeking volunteers, as well! Front gate checkers, ticket sellers, beverage servers and more are all needed to help the event run smoothly. If interested, sign up here.

Alongside the festival, the Bassmaster Elite tournament will return to compete on the beautiful waters of Lake St. Clair. The lake is a prime spot for fishing, with an average depth of 10 feet and 430 square miles of nutrient-rich freshwater. 102 Elite Series anglers are competing in the tournament, including Michigan-native, Chad Pipkens.

Live weigh-ins are scheduled to start at 3pm every day and an opportunity is available for passionate fishing enthusiasts to meet the anglers.

With all that’s going on, don’t miss your chance to see what’s in store at this lovely event!
