Contractors wanted for housing rehabilitation program

Are you a housing contractor looking to expand your customer base?

Macomb County’s Housing Rehabilitation program seeks contractors to attend our meet and greet open house on Tuesday, July 9, from 9-10 a.m. at the Verkuilen Building, located at 21885 Dunham Road in Clinton Township. The event gives contractors a chance to learn about the Housing Rehabilitation program, as well as meet the staff. Interested contractors will receive a county packet at the open house that explains the program in more detail.

Approved contractors will be eligible to bid competitively on Home Rehabilitation Projects for single-family residential homes within Macomb County utilizing Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program funds.

The housing rehabilitation program is overseen by Macomb County Planning and Economic Development as part of its housing assistance services. The program provides assistance for low-to-moderate income households that do not exceed income levels annually determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Coffee and donuts will be provided. Reservations are required to attend. The event is being held in the senior auditorium in the Verkuilen Building. Attendees will enter through the E door.
