Roseville Man Bound Over to Macomb County Circuit Court for Killing His Roommate

Roseville Man Bound Over to Macomb County Circuit Court for Killing His Roommate

Mount Clemens, MI - Mark Newsome was bound over to Macomb County Circuit Court yesterday, by Roseville District Court Judge Joseph Boedeker.

It is alleged that on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Mark Newsome, age 54, got into a verbal altercation with his 72-year-old roommate which escalated into a physical altercation.  Newsome punched the victim, Dale Mitchell, in the head several times.  Mitchell died of his injuries.

Newsome is being charged with Second Degree Murder (life felony).  An argument for bond was made by the defense but denied by Judge Boedeker. Newsome is being held without bond in the Macomb County jail.
