Collecting delinquent taxes is one of the main responsibilities of the County Treasurer. Treasurer Rocca previously filed an ex parte amendment to the judgment of foreclosure to extend the redemption period. As the end of the extended redemption period approaches, many businesses remain closed and taxpayers remain subject to a stay at home order. Treasurer Rocca has determined that the best course of action to balance both his responsibilities and the unprecedented financial crisis facing taxpayers is to halt the foreclosure of occupied homes and businesses.
